Couple weeks ago, this happens. My co-employees on my employer's sister company asked me to check her computer because it was slow (according to her).
She demonstrated to me how the sluggishness is happening by opening a spreadsheet file. Indeed, the file takes too long to fully load before you can use it.
I immediately asked her where is the file's folder. As I expected the file is huge in size, a 150 MB spreadsheet file that contains more than 200 sheets.
I told her to segregate the sheets in separate files and maintain a file with a size under 4 MB.
