Check out the previous post in the portraiture series here. Today I thought of taking a more challenging portrait and chose one with strong light sources. I have been watching "Portrait artist of the year" series on youtube which I will probably write about soon. I have been hooked on those episodes and have just finished for the year 2018. It has motivated me greatly to learn about portrait making and sketching.
After I made this I was exhausted even though it is really small in size. I thought it would cause me less trouble but it ended up sucking the soul right out of me! In face I was telling a friend who does portraits about how tempting and equally exhausting portrait painting is. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the process even though I picked a difficult on because of the variety of colors. I will start monochromatic portraits from tomorrow which is always the best thing to do, I guess.
