In one of my previous posts, I talked about how much the end artworks in Thor: The Dark World fascinated me. It reflected a lot of gouache properties to me with the opaque and layered brush strokes with a pop of color of Thor's red cape or Loki's green. I really wanted to check out how the digital art turns out when tried with it and so I used the image of the elves link for which is below the image. The artworks are made by Claus Studios and I read the journey of one of the artists involved in the making of them.
I can only imagine the thrill and anxiousness when the creators have to make something for a giant such as Marvel! But I loved his process and how he arrived to these artworks. I will be doing more of them because honestly they are so much fun! I love how spontaneous and bold, the brush movements were today. I would definitely create them digitally if I had the proper means but traditional media has it's own charm too ;) It did take me a few hours to make this given the distraction of rains and weather haha but was worth it. What do you guys think?
