El béisbol en Cuba es mucho más que un deporte; es una parte fundamental de la identidad y la cultura cubana, está en nuestra sangre, es nuestro deporte nacional.
La historia del béisbol en la isla se remonta al siglo XIX cuando fue introducido por inmigrantes estadounidenses. Cuba desarrolló su propio estilo de juego, y pronto se convirtió en un país apasionado por el deporte. Grandes figuras del béisbol cubano, como Martín Dihigo y José Méndez, se destacaron en las Grandes Ligas y en equipos locales, consolidando una tradición de excelencia.

Y es que todos los grandes van hacia otros países a demostrar su talento.
A pesar de esto estadios espectaculares como el Latinoamericano en la fase de playoffs se llena todo el estadio, esto demuestra que el béisbol cubano sigue vivo y está en la sangre.
Esto se vivió en la discusión del título de la Serie Nacional pasada dónde el equipo de la capital industriales llegó a la final contra Las Tunas, a pesar de los industriales perder el título, se llenó completamente el estadio.
En mi caso particular soy fan de industriales y desde hace mucho no disfruto un título por parte de los leones de la capital .
Pero soy un fan fiel y confío en mi equipo.
El béisbol de Cuba está en decadencia pero no por la calidad de los peloteros cubanos sino por otras razones de otra índole.
Espero que el béisbol cubano vuelva a hacer el que era antes.
