It was Friday afternoon, the temperature was almost 40 degrees centigrade and it was really hot!
A photographer friend of mine wrote me a message asking me if I wanted to go and take pictures on the top of Monte Grappa.
I didn't think twice about it and I accepted!
Eventually two more people joined in and we left!

Era venerdì pomeriggio, la temperatura sfiorava i 40 gradi centigradi e faceva davvero caldo!
Un mio amico fotografo mi scrisse un messaggio chiedendomi se volevo andare a fare foto sulla cima del Monte Grappa.
Io non ci ho pensato due volte e ho accettato!
Alla fine si sono aggiunte altre due persone e siamo partiti!
It was a little late and the sun was setting, but we didn't let ourselves be discouraged and as soon as we parked the car we pulled out the equipment and started taking pictures!
Unfortunately it was creating a bit of haze and despite the polarizing filter it affected the quality of the photos a bit!

Era un po' tardi e il sole stava tramontando, ma non ci siamo fatti scoraggiare e appena parcheggiata la macchina abbiamo tirato fuori l'attrezzatura e abbiamo iniziato a fotografare!
Purtroppo si stava creando un po' di foschia e nonostante il filtro polarizzatore ha pregiudicato un po' la qualitàè delle foto!
We were at the top of the mountain at 1775 meters above sea level and there is a majestic monument to the fallen of the First World War.
I took the photo above trying to capture an artillery station.

Eravamo sulla cima del monte a 1775 metri di altezza sul livello del mare e lì c'è un maestoso monumento ai caduti della prima guerra mondiale.
La foto sopra l'ho scattata cercando di cogliere una postazione di artiglieria.
The sky was starting to turn pink, there was a cold wind blowing but it was too good to be there!

Then I decided to go down a stairway and take a picture of the main street of the monument that develops on different levels.

The view was magical...I promised myself to do a shooting with a model sooner or later...
There were yellow and blue flowers all around the architectural structure.

Here is the main pedestrian street of the monument.
Here on days of recurrence of the war military parades take place.

Qui nelle giornate di ricorrenza della guerra si svolgono parate militari.

When the sun had set, we went down to another point that I didn't know to take another shot.
Look at that passage in the mountain ... beyond that cut on the landscape there is a terrace that turns to the plain.

Quando ormai il sole era tramontato siamo scesi in un'altro punto che non conoscevo a fare qualche altro scatto.
Guardate che passaggio nella montagna...oltre quel taglio sul paesaggio c'è una terrazza che volge alla pianura.
It was late and it was dark and in front of a sculpture that was the guardian of the passage through the rock, we took some shots of Valentina, a nice woman who also loved mountains and hiking.

Era tardi ed era buio e di fronte a una scultura che faceva da guardiano al passaggio nella roccia, abbiamo fatto qualche scatto a Valentina, una donna simpatica anche lei amante della montagna e delle escursioni.
It was a fantastic evening! While I was processing the photos on the computer, I relived those pleasant moments in small.
