Hello splinter-lovers. I hope you all are A-ok.
Today, I want to share with you guy a match, that not only exceeded my hope but also emotionally damaged my opponent. It turned into a spectacle for the top crass. I have been searching for this kinda match for some time since I developed a thing for the bloodthirsty monsters in the normal battles. That’s because clan won’t participate in battles due to some unknown reasons, I have been wanting to try them out.
So, I made up a deck and knew I’d do the best. The battle rules made it evident. Little did I know that my idea would far exceed my expectations.
Battle Conditions
The mana cap was 16, a very low mana cap. All the summoners were available as if the game is telling us, “Make your best, I allow you all the options”. I chose the trusty Franz Ruffmane.
Battle Rules:
- Born Again: All monsters have the Rebirth ability.
Battle Details
Let’s start from my side.
Summoner: Franz Ruffmane(Provides an additional shield to all allies).
Tank: Venari Marksrat(Ability: Martyr).
Magic Attacker: Captain Katie(Ability: Snipe, Bloodlust).
My plan was simple but effective, at least to me it was. I wanted to make my Marksrat trigger the martyr effect. It could die twice so Katie’s damage, speed, shield, and HP would increase by 2 permanently. And, if it manages to eliminate one of them, I could have the Bloodlust triggered and get the damage and other stat increased. My only concern was, would Katie be able to eliminate one of the enemy monsters before coming forward?
My overall damage was 3. After the martyr effects it was guaranteed to be increased to 5. Should the bloodlust ability trigger, it would increase to 5 or more.
Now, his side.
Summoner: Mylor Crowlin(Ability: Induces Thorns ability in all allied monsters).
Tank: Fungus Flinger(Ability: Martyr).
Blocked Attacker: Hill Giant(No Ability*), Fungus Fiend(No Ability).
Melee Attackers: Uraeus(Ability: Sneak), Goblin Thief(Ability: Sneak).
Hiss strategy was sound. He wanted to attack from the back while maintaining a strong frontal attack. Once his Fungus dies, his Hill Giant would have increased speed, damage, and HP. That way, he would have highest attacking prowess.
His initial damage was 4. Then, after the martyr effect, the damage would become 8, per round.
Major Events
The summoner traits were introduced and his summoner’s ability turned to waste since my attacks were based on magic. His monsters went first as their speed was higher. Out of sheer luck, Katie decided to hit the tank instead of the monsters behind it. I mean, what use of the Snipe ability if if attackers like any normal attackers… yet, this too helped me get that Bloodlust ability that I had targeted. But, his Hill Giant also got the martyr effect, so, it turned into a double edged sword.
The round ended with the Uraeus attacking me and hence stripped me off shield.
Katie went first and against went for the Fungus, this triggered her Bloodlust again. The martyr effect was in place and Hill Giant had reached it’s full potential. His damage output was now 8 while mine was 5.
At the start of the round, Katie attacked first and the Hill Giant’s HP was cut in half. For the first time, my Marksrat had died and I finally got the Martyr effect. With it, an additional shield, speed, and HP.
This was the threshold where his melee attackers started to miss.
Katie’s turn came first and down went the Hill Giant for the first time. Bloodlust triggers and the stat increases.
Needless to say, his sneak attackers kept missing their mark. The one to hit me kept hitting my shield. From here on, bloodlust was guaranteed at every turn/round.
This time, even after the bloodlust both his sneak attackers’ attacks connected with mine. And finally, my damage out out was highest than all of his monsters combined, I had 8 and he had 5.
Katied came first and did her soul crushing damage on the poor Fiend. Fiend’s attack removed the shield off of my Fungus Flinger and his sneak attackers were relentless.
Katie deleted the Fiend and attained bloodlust. Right after than, Uraeus came up at the first spot. He didn’t miss and thus I got yet another overall increased stat.
Katie delivers a soul ending damage on Uraeus and attains bloodlust and his goblin misses his mark.
Katie hit Uraeus for the last time and bloodlust was instantly injected onto her. Goblin missed his attack, again.
And finally, I finish the game with a last damage of 14 to the poor goblin.
Results
He did did not expect that his strategy of using the Fungus Flinger in front would benefit me too. As it triggered the bloodlust multiple times, Katie turned into a super magic attacker with high speed and shields.
The highest damage reached 15, HP 10, and the speed 14. This is probably the highest damage I have received till date.
What a perfect match it was, for me. Can’t imagine his situation. I know that had happened with me, but how amazingly the dots connected on this one was phenomenal and rare.
Thank you, guys, for reading this far. I hope you enjoyed the content. See you legends on the next one!
