This is a weekly, semi-automated post where I will show some statistics and graphs of the development category. It will also serve as a showcase for the staff picks and task requests that were made in the current week. If you have any suggestions or things you'd like to see in this post, then please let me know!

Introducing 'Competition Pools' on 1Ramp - With 2 Ongoing Contests by @the1ramp

With this update 1Ramp has made hosting contests on Steem much easier. From creating contests to announcing results, all that can now be done with 1Ramp's Android app. The amount of work and attention to detail that has gone into this contribution is a great example for other contributors!

Average score, reward (STU) and time before review (hours) per week

weekly_overview.png
Time before review is the number of hours between the creation of the post and the time it is reviewed by a moderator.

The average score of contributions has gone up from 65.6 to 68.5 this week, which is a good indication that the quality of contributions has also gone up! Despite the average score going up, the average reward has unfortunately gone down from 69.2 STU to 63.1 STU. This might have something to do with the new voting bot voting on contributions at a lower voting power than before, but I am not sure about that. Finally, the number of hours it takes for us to get to a contribution and review it (on average) has gone down a bit from 14.7 to 12.0.

Number of contributions reviewed per week

weekly_reviewed.png

As you can see the weekly number of reviews is up from 28 to 38! Unfortunately despite the number of reviews being up compared to last week, the number of reviews in the last two weeks (66) is down from the two weeks prior (68). Either way, it's great to see the number going up compared to last week, so hopefully it continues like this.

With the number of reviews going up this week it's obviously not that surprising that the number of unique contributors has also gone up slightly from 28 to 32 this week, but of course this is still very cool nonetheless!
