Today I started building my gaming rig and thus this will be the start of my journey into blockchain gaming. I have been exploring blockchain gaming for quite some time now and I have not really seen games that I can really relate too.Blockchain games are mostly based around collecting Non-fungible token card games or idle RPG games. There are some interesting puzzle games but these are not the games That I would play for hours end.

Well there were some exception like War field from golder It is like a Counterstrike like game that has integrated its own utility token called Golder Token. I was pretty excited about this game but my aging laptop could not handle the graphics, slowing down parts of the game and thus putting me at an disadvantage. This was the first time I thought of buying myself a proper gaming rig.

However, due to financial constraint and my realization that I won't be playing games that much I decided to postpone my acquisition. Besides if I were to focus on blockhain gaming, most of it can be run off Smartphones. Most of the mobile blockchain games do not require much graphics anyway. Right now I am using a Xiaomi Pocophone which has a Snapdragon 845 chipset, 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB storage.

Recently, I have found two interesting blockchain games. One is Dissolution and the other is Taurion which quite honestly stirred up my desire to buy myself a new gaming rig. This compounded by the fact that I have just recently found out that there is now an existing PS4 emulator that actually plays commercial games at full 60 frames per seconds (fps) at 4K.
The timing was right as well as I have just won an Iphone Xs MAX from Tronfoundation and sold it for cash. After much research I have decided to start building my rig. I did not want to spend all the money I had on the gaming computer so I opted for a very modest gaming system as shown below:
Item | Description | Price |
---|---|---|
Motherboard | Gigabyte A320M-S2H V2 | PHP3,750 or $72 USD |
Processor | Ryzen 2400G | PHP7,400 or $142 USD |
Graphics Card | Vega 11 Built-in | NA |
RAM | Kingston 8GB DDR4 2400 | PHP2,300 or $44 USD |
HDD | Intel SSD 160 GB | PHP1,500 or $30 USD |
Case w/ PSU | Generic 600Watts | PHP1,000 or $20 USD |
TOTAL | PHP15,950 or $300 USD |
I bought the items from a computer store owned by a friend of my boyfriend who gave me 10% discount on the items. Instead of paying PHP15,950 or $300 USD I only paid PHP14,000+ or around $270 USD. I did not buy a new keyboard and mouse since I have an old one.
I have already installed Windows 10 64-bit and tested out Dissolution on my rig in Medium settings and it looks great! I have not much time testing it since I took sometime for windows to update and Dissolution was a pain to download with more than 7GB of data but it was well worth it, you'll never know the surprises awaits for early adopters.

In a day or two I will be installing Taurion. The blockchain game will be holding an event on September,6 2019, where participants are invited to participate and stand to earn different digital assets fromdifferent sponsors. Dissolution is also one of the sponsors.
Anyway, I am pretty much satisfied with my computer right now but this will not be my final build. I will be slowly upgrading my system until I reach the final build I am. For now this setup will suffice. I will be posting some benchmarks about my build soon and share with you the different upgrades I will do in the future.
That is it for now friends thank you for stopping by!
