The Abu Dhabi Science festival runs from January 31 up to today, February 9th.

We were there yesterday (Friday) but since it was a day off then coincided with the Red Bull Air Race, it was sooo busy. We were late for the Brainiac Live Theatre show that I booked and kids became cranky too early.
We decided to come back today for more activities.
Blood Lab
Our tickets included one workshop for Kuya. Yesterday he did "Robo Wars" and for today he chose Blood Lab.
They learned about the science of blood, saw real blood and my son said he even got a chance to touch a real sheep's heart!
Brainiac Live
We saw Brainiac Live once again. The show was so interesting and got the audiences hooked up. They did some crazy science stunts the kids loved. It was a really cool 30 minutes show.
The Moon
After Brainiac Live, we went to have a peek at the moon with this really powerful telescope!
We could really see the craters on the moon and the portion that is being hit by the sun's light!
Dancing with the Robot
We wandered about and reached the area about technology and robotics. We came across this booth of the Abu Dhabi Monitoring and Control where they have this cool robot.
My two younger ones enjoyed the robot a lot and stayed there to play with it while we wait for the outdoor stage show which was set to start at 8:00pm.
Welcome to My Wacky House
We were looking for Kuya, whom we thought was still at the Abu Dhabi Ports booth playing VR. Until we so him already seated at the bench in front of the stage eagerly waiting for the show...
The show also did not disappoint. It was so entertaining. Now I am afraid the kids will ask me for hydrogen peroxide and and some liquid nitrogen and perform some crazy and wacky science experiments too.
More entertainment.
It was already getting colder and we decided to call it a night after the wacky show. As we were walking towards the exit, we notice a bunch of kids seated and eagerly watching some more of the entertainers from the festival.
Oh well, now it's really time to go.
We strutted towards the exit and went across the road through the pedestrian underpass. They have really nice mosaics here that we did not miss taking pictures with.
Soon we reached the vast parking lot. Then we struggled to find our car. Lol. Am I the only one who always loses her car?haha
Anyway, it was a productive day indeed. A nice change to a boring regular Saturday.
How about you how's the weekend so far?
