Recently (well, over the past few months...), I've been going a bit slower on the pure silver purchases. I've been a bit more entranced by the silver content historical coinage that you can find through some trusted sellers on eBay. That said, sometimes these guys also put up a pure silver piece for auction... and I can resist putting in bid to try and snag something at a decent price (considering that ordering from goldsilver.be has a pretty hefty shipping cost in comparison to the amounts of silver that I am buying!).
Most of the time, I'm completely outbid... I am pretty disciplined about the bids that I put down.... and don't let myself go overboard or get too attached to something that I think I have to win at ALL COSTS!

Here is an Armenian Noah's Ark 1oz silver round... It is a pretty stock standard round that normally is priced around the spot price and not that much more (much like the Vienna Philharmonic or Silver Eagles). However, I didn't have one of these in my collection yet (also, I am still hoping to win a Silver Eagle....) as most of my pure silver pieces happen to be from the UK or Australia.
So, it was a nice way to spread out the collection with this single piece! Won at around spot price before the silver price climbed over the last few months!

The Princess Diana round is also another pure silver round... with a certificate! Although, the certificate says it is 28 grams, but it weighs 31 grams. The seller (who I trust) mentioned that this is a pretty common mistake from this mint... and I did test the coin with the specific gravity, ring and magnetic slide tests. So, I'm pretty confident that the certificate is just listing the wrong weight for the round.
This is one of few portrait rounds that actually look decent... In my short time collecting... I've seen huge shockers of portraits on coins! I think the key is to not smile and don't show teeth... if you do, it tends to look pretty damn ghoulish!

Okay... this last one isn't technically a pure silver round. It is Sterling Silver (0.925 hallmarked) but I had to mention it as I really think that the National Trust is one of the best things that the United Kingdom has (I'm sure there are other things... like... I'll think of something later...). The National Trust is entrusted (haha...) with looking after and maintaining old historical sites in the United Kingdom for the benefit of the public... making them in good condition for the general public to visit and enjoy. On our trips to the UK, we've visited a few of these sites... the work that they do is nothing short of amazing, and a testament to the long-sighted view of preserving these historical sites and relics instead of just bashing things down and developing for short term economic gain.
This particular round is dedicated (?) to Reverend Emery... his name is on the side, and I need to do some more resesarch to figure out if it was a run that was dedicated to him as an important member of the National Trust or if it is something else entirely...
It is a bit on the grubby side of things... but that does add a bit of charm to the piece! However... speaking of grubby... I will have to share a post some other time about my grubbiest coin... it is hilariously grubby... probably why I managed to snag it at a cheap price!

Keep Your Digital Gold Safe with Ledger
Ledger is one of the leading providers of hardware wallets with the Ledger Nano S being one of the most popular choices for protecting your crypto currencies. Leaving your holdings on a crypto exchange means that you don’t actually own the digital assets, instead you are given an IOU that may or may not be honoured when you call upon it. Software and web based wallets have their weakness in your own personal online security, with your private keys being vulnerable in transit or whilst being stored upon your computer. Paper wallets are incredibly tiresome and still vulnerable to digital attacks (in transit) and are also open to real world attacks (such as theft/photography).
Supporting a wide range of top tokens and coins, the Ledger hardware wallet ensures that your private keys are secure and not exposed to either real world or digital actors. Finding a happy medium of security and usability, Ledger is the leading company in providing safe and secure access to your tokenised future!
