What does God demand of us?

There are many things that God wants, for example, obedience, sincerity, love, rectitude ...

But, all this is only achieved by giving our heart with sincerity to God.

Joel 2: 12-13

12 “Even now,” declares the Lord,
“return to me with all your heart,
with fasting and weeping and mourning.”
13 Rend your heart
and not your garments.
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and abounding in love,
and he relents from sending calamity.

Many people make sacrifices to God, believe that with this they will get closer to God, but... really how are their hearts?

When we give our whole heart to God, our life changes, our being changes, and there we begin to desire the things that God demands of us, there our obedience aligns with God, the respect for doing the things of God becomes daily in our lives and and we no longer do things by obligation, our life makes sense, we begin to pray more, to desire a true intimacy with God, we long to hear his voice and do what is necessary to make that happen. Our heart will desire it so much that everything that is not of God will depart from our lives.

The desires of the flesh will die and our spiritual life will flourish.

This is what God wants, our heart completely! our life ... our being!

When we fast we break chains, ties, curses, God needs us to be free so that our heart is clean and in this way he will be willing to surrender completely to Him.

Incessantly seek the things of God, and He will never depart from your side.

Josue 1: 9

See that I command you to strive and be brave; Do not fear or faint. Because Jehovah your God will be with you wherever you go.
