I have been getting pretty deep in the weeds in my understanding of ICP (Internet Computer Protocol) and how it differs from other projects. As we have seen more Jerry Banfield videos promoting ICP I have found it intriguing what it is capable of. When Distrikt (Social Media on ICP) said it was going to shut down operations I looked into it what was causing various applications to have issues who built on ICP.
I like what I have heard from Dominic Williams. I like the fact that when they initially started looking into building in 2015 they spent another 6 years on R & D because they realized the current tech wasn't going to cut it for what they were trying to build. That was always the issue that I felt like I kept seeing. All these projects trying to say they were going to do a certain thing and it wasn't much more than a pump and dump scam. I mean can you imagine some project like Sandbox really believing they were going to build a metaverse on Ethereum. I mean jeez.....give me a break. You don't have to be in crypto that long to realize that's a joke. With the advancements of EOSIO (0.5s block times) and also with what we have seen with Solana having (0.4s block times) ICP has 1s finality but one of the differences I see is that the other chains don't actually have the data on chain whereas ICP does so if it has to display a website or a picture it doesn't have to retrieve that from some other cloud server. It is already on chain. How exactly that plays out in real world testing when all this stuff is under a load is unclear but it certainly seems like what they have built is a one stop shop. I'm looking forward to seeing how ICP can help us.
As far as tokenomics it is all theoretical when it comes to this stuff. Onboard insane amounts of users and there are more buys than sells ...... Price Goes UP! LOL
