Summer Illustrations

Hi Steemers. Ive been out this summer , almost not conexion , but I ve been producing some art that I would like to share with you,, these are some sketches I did on the beach mostly in the area of Vigo, Galicia, Spain.
Others in another spots like the town of Nigran, also a coast village.
I like when i go to the beach carrying my sketchbook. Sometimes I do black and white drawings and other times I do watercolors paintings on location , lately I also start to try the gouache technique. Its like watercolor but opaque.
But most if my sketches are in ink. I m more a drawer than a painter, and Ilike the possibilities than the ink give me, playing with the line weight and the textures, also I enjoying coloring with the ipad, improving the black and white sketch and give it a color mood, with a limitted palette.
I usually start painting in black and white, so its easier for me, then I flatten the greyscale picture and create an adjustment layer to create color from it.
Its another method, not as pure as color on the spot like when i paint with watercolors, but I like it and it give me a good result. Sometimes you want to change your process and try new ways to paint.
I also share here some digital paintings, in a more graphic style, I follow the same proces as the ink sketches, but this time in the coloring process with the Ipad I erase the lines. also the sketch its more simple and stylezed, like an animated cartoon.

I hope you enjoyed this post, I hope to continue posting here, now Im back from holidays and I will move this month to a new city, Ourense. So I will continue sketching and telling you my new adventures.
