After the stormy night, I was surprised to be greeted by a clear blue sky day. Plan for the day is to drive back to Sydney after close of business - say 5:15.
I went for a short ride to walk a slice of Seven Mile Beach NP. Was hoping to find dipodium orchids flowering. No luck on that score even walking a road section I saw them last year
There were a lot of dragon flies - did get one to stay still long enough for a photo. This one is golden in colour - not seen these before
Still working how to get photos of flowers with the new phone - not working. I have bought a refurbished Samsung S8 to fix that. It should be at home when I get home
Short ride - long walk - no orchids
Melbourne Cup day - had a few long shot bets. Did get Gold Trip in my Quinella bet but not the others.
We headed back just after 5 - took the direct road home - lots of traffic lights.
Good to be home after 3 weeks away.
