Dear brothers of the wonderful Steem Church, I believe that God has a special calling for the life of each one of us, precisely because we are unique, and He would not have created us as such by chance. The problem is that we can not always discern and accept that call, and that is one of the greatest sources of tension for many people today.
Some do not even want to know what God's purpose for their life would be, because they are too busy with their tasks or too involved in the pursuit of wealth and fame, so they simply do not have time to listen to God. There are others who even hear the call, but they fear that God will ask them for something insignificant, outside of their personal project and, therefore, they prefer indifference. There are still those who hear clearly from you from the Lord, but have such a negative opinion of themselves that they do not believe that He chose them for something great, that is why they believe that the call is for another person, and does not respond.
The problem is that while we do not stop to at least think that God has sent us to this world, we run the risk of "living for a living", without finding our place in fact. This generates a constant feeling of emptiness and dissatisfaction with life, which, in our days, have led many people, mainly young people, to completely lose their sense of life. It is something subtle that can be great if we do not learn to deal with the situation from the beginning.
God's plans
I remember that when I was a child, even without an understanding of what a call from God would be, I believed that I had been created for something greater than my plans. Today, however, looking at my history, I clearly perceive how the hand of God has always led my life. The interesting thing is to also perceive that He called me and gave me the option to follow him or not. Thanks to his Mercy, I chose to follow him, and more and more I perceive that I was created just to be where I am being who I am and doing what I do, which, for the rest, is always a consequence of what I am. But, I perceive that if I had stopped in my fears, in my personal projects and in my disabilities, I would never have said yes to God's call. Therefore, if you also perceive that He calls you something greater, regardless of your condition, have the courage to say yes with all your heart, for He will provide what is necessary for His will to be fulfilled in your life, and so your joy is complete.
Make a Prayer to the Lord to ask for his grace: Lord, I know that he has a purpose for my life, because I am not the result of chance. I know that you thought of me before my birth, as your Word says. Therefore, I ask: place my heart in tune with your heart and help me to hear your call. If my expectations and plans are not aligned with your purposes, I want to submit them to Your authority; and I promise to walk with you. I want your will to be fulfilled in me and I wish that, with my life, I could glorify your holy name. Amen!
