Hello Steemians, I am Colette Dowell. I’m very happy to be here. I was looking for a space where I could share my art, music, photography, film & thoughts; as in a more high minded, spiritual platform with others whom enjoy the same. I have always cared deeply about our world and even as a child I was so curios about how it all works.
I have spent my life looking around and trying to figure things out. I have travelled and shot photography and written about the enigmatic places I have experienced. I enjoy music very much and I love to compose music and produce videos. I am an artist so I want to share my artwork for those who enjoy such things. I also read here about collaboration on articles/papers….I would love to do that. I am a geek in many ways, although I was brought up in the 60s, so I am quite the Hippie indeed in many respects.
I love astronomy, archaeology, natural sciences and the likes; I am a Naturopathic Physician and live in the woods and grow my own herbs. I have been to many ancient ruins around the world along with some supposed supernatural-paranormal way weird scenes….but oh what fun. I have worked along many great fellow freaks in my life in music, art, spirit & science. I was very fortunate to have my Mentors too, but they were older than me and have now moved on. I miss my friends very much and at times I feel very alone, thus, sharing here will be a very nice opportunity for me.
I am older now too with my own disabilities, so I find I am more homebound. I am not climbing pyramids any more or flying in the clouds looking for UFOs, but hey, Life is good. I believe that I am in the right place at the right time in my life as I am settled and more mature in ways, with more time to create and use my life’s experiences to help educate others. It is the least I can do to give back to society's culture, and it is what I am able to do.
I have some high strange stories I would like to share about self healing & herbs. I was diagnosed with Primary Progressive MS in 2013 after years of struggles. I was told I would "melt away." My attitude was, “Screw that, l’m going to get rid of them.”… I did in fact. In March of 2018, I requested new MRIs on my brain so I could see what was going on as I felt like I had beat the rap. I had no enhancing brain lesions any more. I live in recovery everyday as that is part of taking care of one’s self. It is stories/papers like these I want to share on self healing, ancient ruins, science & the likes in hopes of helping educate others so they may take it further in life, and as a species of humans, we evolve to be greater, in a more positive manner than we are presently.
I have been very personal here. I’m not sure how all this works on Steemit and such, lots to figure out - but I wanted to be honest about who I am and what I would like to do here on Steemit with fellow Steemians.
