A sublime Sunday surrounded by nature

Just living is not enough," said the butterfly,
"one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower."

Hello, Hivers and Silver Bloggers!

The last week around here has been very busy. Some bureaucratic paperwork that never seems to end. Dentist visits, the good news is that they are over at least for now. And a film project of the husband's that is stealing part of my attention and let's cross our fingers that it will be viable. And above all, a lot of CBA (a term adopted from Super Ed @tengolotodo) has made that in the last few days I have not been able to sit down to write. But nothing like a nice walk in contact with nature to get my mojo to post back.

This morning the husband and I went hiking. The destination was the small reserve that is in the mountains near home, nothing new. But since it was Sunday and we were not in a hurry we wanted to explore a new route that we had seen these days on the map that indicated that the park reserve was much more than what we usually hike on our daily walks.

It was a much longer trail and much more wooded and we spent a couple of hours immersed in the mountains.

Trails up and down. We ended up exhausted but at the same time full of good energy.

The views in this section of the trail do not let you see the Avila as in the main viewpoint that we always visit. But still, at some points, you can see some views towards the east of the city and towards the places closer to the nature reserve. I will probably tell you more about this route on next Wednesday Walk.

And there is always some little wildflower that catches my eye. Google Lens says it's called Mimosa Pudica.

We returned home after stopping at the supermarket to buy some tenderloin medallions. We are trying not to eat red meat lately, but my husband felt like it. And after today's mega hike, he deserved to satisfy his craving.

A simple but delicious lunch. The husband grilled the medallions and we accompanied them with Colombian potatoes with olive oil and rosemary. To top it off a little avocado. Keep it simple and you won't go wrong. This was tasty.

The rest of the afternoon, some in this house opted to take a siesta, starting with Milo who here is getting ready in his favorite chair under the dining room table to take a little nap.

And I have taken the time to write and do some engagement on Hive. That's all it takes for a sublime Sunday. Don't you think?

Have a great week!

Thanks for reading:)
