As I'm getting my packing list ready to go for Mexico - I'm thinking all about being able to make quality video content on the go. Do I need my laptop? Should I bring my expensive mic? What other gear will help me make content and won't take up too much space?
I explore all of these questions in this vlog and go over the items I always pack... and the ones that I stopped because they weren't really that helpful.
In this video I also do a before/after test with a small lav mic that I'm thinking about bringing in lieu of my regular Apogee mic. I'm curious which one you guys prefer. The lav mic definitely sounds more focused than just filming without a mic (it cuts a lot of the background noise)...but I'm not sure if I love the tone quality of it.
