I miss my cat, she's been out of our lives for two weeks now. Unfortunately cats aren't great travel companions and the certificates required to bring them abroad are not worth the hassle unless you're going away for months on end and staying put. We have been seeing hundreds of dogs here but very little cats, maybe it's because we aren't walking the streets at night. Another reason could be all the dogs.
Here's one feline we saw on our way down from Monserrate in Bogota Colombia. The perfect environment for a cat, a nice view, plenty of critters to catch and fresh mountain air. She lived in someone's hut and was cleary undisturbed by the neighbourhood dogs.
If you look closely enough you can see two black cats. They were playing on a roof in Bogota. A great vantage point to catch pigeons from and dogs can't get up there.
Here's a big kitten we noticed it sitting on a bench in a salon. Safe behind glass and too cute to allow outside. I've seen a couple more cats but when they are on the street they usually don't hang around very long.
