I remember many years ago that my father took home this jelly-like "thing" which he got from one of his taxi mates and he even told us the benefits of it and the care for it. he put it in a small glass bottle but never really used it as a drink like in the above video and got thrown away because we really do not have any idea what it can do for our health. So it got neglected.
In the above video we can learn about making Kombucha, it is a health drink that is made by fermenting tea and sugar plus the living organism that will help you create a good bacteria-rich drink which is a bit smelly (I think) because it has been fermented but will aid your digestion and give your gut a boost in digesting food and combating bad bacteria at the same time thereby minimizing the toxins that they produce.
Good bacteria doesn't produce a bad smell nor toxins, it only produces most of the time lactic acid, alcohol, and carbon dioxide which is actually its fart!
They also help you digest your food for you and in that way you can absorb more nutrients from the foods that you eat. So it is better to eat nutrient-rich foods with Kombucha like the spinach or Moringa, a leafy vegetable packed with vitamins and minerals like no other vegetable.
In the video you can learn about making it but your only problem will be sourcing the bottles, the glass jar, and the scoby culture. It is also better if you have some extra tools like the acidity meter but you can do without it. I can make this drink because I can get the materials online but it is just too expensive for me to procure for myself not to mention the trouble of making it due to my current health condition.
There are alternative drink for me to use for myself and that is what I will just do.
