Kiara Recreational Park

Kiara park is a small community lake side park by the Taman Tun Doctor Ismail residential area. This part of northern Kuala Lumpur is surrounded by Kiara Hill. Despite being in TTDI but the hill actually belongs to Kiara.

Going into the residential area can be relatively convenient. One can take MRT to get to TTDI, proceed to walk 10 minutes to get there. Or, driving there is possible too, but not so much about parking. You'll literally ended up parking at the MRT station and still need to walk that 10 minutes distance to get to the park.

One of the main attraction of the park, to me was the lighting. I like the way they setup the lamp post with a sand blasted shades, the amber lighting is really easy on my eyes.

Once passing through the entrance foyer, you will see a small lake here. I am not exactly sure if this is natural or man made, but there was a small stream leading to this lake, from the upstream waterfall, so I assume it's a natural lake.

There is a branch road immediately after the lake, you can choose to take the right side and that will lead you rounding the lake side, or choose the left route for a small hill side hike.

Eventually, the hill side route can lead us back to the car park, but the bridge were destroyed. I did not know this earlier, so I ended up going backwards "counter clockwise" and back track the trail.

By the time I arrive at the lake side, sun was up and bright. We are getting more walker and jogger so I decided it's about time to walk back to my car.

There's also workout equipment to use. But, most of them are being "occupied" as a bench. The gym pole is usually the most priceless equipment you see how creative people are when they "utilize" them.

Before I go, I also went to the side of the pond and checkout some fish as somebody is feeding their expired bread. I heard it's bad to feed fishes with bread, as that will take away their hunting abilities, which may ultimately kill them. There's also another saying, about overfeeding certain species may affect the ecosystem. That seals off my Malaysia Day(that will be another topic about this special holiday) morning walk at the Kiara Park.
