It was an ordinary Wednesday, as usual I had this mid week boringness at work(who doesn't?). Suddenly a message popped up, a friend is wishing @bitrocker2020 birthday! Darn it how can I miss this important event?! Immediately dropped a line and asked him where he is, and immediately set up a spontaneous meet up with @joannewong and @redpalestino for a tea break birthday celebration!

First of all, the menu is really cheap for such settings. Laminated A4? But hey, who read the menu slip on the table at self service counter? Look up 45' and there's a huge board above the cashier and you'll be able to see the bigger version. I totally wasn't expecting such small cafe offer full course meal. Other than that, there's a huge range of pastry and cakes available. Price wise, I'd say on the affordable side. But don't compare it with a regular Chinese shop around the housing area.

Cakes

And, upon arrival only I got informed the day before was @redpalestino 's birthday! So I ordered two cupcakes for the birthday boys, a slice of double chocolate cake, a slice of banana cake and another piece of carrot cake with cheese. Trust me, their topping is absolutely amazing. In the sense of old school, where back in the 90s, people used to whipped icing sugar with egg white froth, blend with butter. I don't know if that's what they use to make those toppings, but I'm sure it's not ordinary whipped cream! If you're health conscious that kind of people, please skip this. But I'd you ask me, hello! It's a cake! What health? Might as well get the best bite out of it. I could have snap pictures of these cakes individually and make a wall of text just to describe how they individually tasted, but I will leave that part for you to explore!

Self service counter

Utensils and condiments are freely available. As I walked over to grab a bottle of plain water, I glance through those stainless steel ware, they're clean and tidily arranged. Thumbs up for the cleanliness and tidiness.

Mirror mirror on the wall

Besides of the wet kitchen is a basin for hand wash. The layout, looks ridiculously like a shopping mall washroom counter, or hotel room toilet 😂 Anyway, the huge tall mirror on the wall really help. Not the hand clothe hanging by the mirror though. Seriously, will you use it? Hell I'm not touching it🤣

The company

Here with go. The birthday boys are having a good time, and they're happily taking photos. Looks like another #tasteem post is cooking, or did they post it before me? 😂

Coffee

I ordered the Americano as usual. This is one of the best way to taste if their coffee bean are properly grind, the pressure of their espresso machine, and also whether the bean being roasted properly. To my surprise, the coffee has almost no - body. Is this a decaffed genetic altered bean? I guess my mom will be OK with this coffee. Next time I'm gonna try espresso.

They should have

Just before I leave the place, I saw this at the corner of the pillar. What a huge face palm. They should have at least ask the customer if they're using the service provider. I hate myself for not being alert enough, or could have save a few bucks. Now you know it, do remember to ask for the special discount if you're with this mobile communication service provider.
