Something for the birds - Goji berry bush

My mum has a quite nice-sized garden with all kinds of flowers, herds, fruits, veggies... you name it. It is a pretty wild space, and many things grow as they want with not too much room for new plants. As soon as there is a spot, it is occupied by something new.

So as soon as a big mush died (or was relocated, I can't remember), I decided to buy a small Goji berry plant as a gift, so she could plant it there and wouldn't have to buy them anymore.

It seemed like a good plan. We read about the care of trimming, when to pick the berries, and all the fun stuff.

Guys... this plant is almost unmanageable and grows like a weed! It has extremely fast growth and will climb on anything. It's kind of cool if you have a room for it, and it gives tons of fruit. At least you get something.
IF you manage to get something :p

The flowers are pretty, about 1,5 cm across, and will bloom from spring to late fall almost constantly producing fruits.
And boy, do bees love it! I was standing next to the bush for a while and I could hear all the buzzing. It was harder to catch them among the mess though.

I would love to be able to share some shots of the little red berries hanging on the bush too, but that task was almost impossible. As soon as they mature, the birds would eat them all :D

So the idea of having oatmeal with your own goji berries for breakfast didn't work.

Here is a bonus shot of a furry companion. He would follow me, but wouldn't let me pet him. Only my mum is allowed :)
He has extremely fluffy tail and gorgeous orange eyes.
