We moved to Valencia over 10 years ago and never heard of the word Mascletà before nor grasp the idea of the purpose of a daylight firework display. What's the point of shooting them during the day? It just didn't make any sense, well until we experienced our first Mascletà.
The smoke, smell, the noise, rhythm, the force and the vibration under your feet which lets you forget any worries you might have had, for at least 5 minutes.
