¿Qué tal su día, amigos? 😊 Me gustaría compartir con ustedes una experiencia muy bonita que tuvimos mi esposo y yo, 1 año y 7 meses después de estrenar nuestra casa, se trata de nuestra primera parrillada 🥳 Sé que este no es un evento realmente importante porque hacer este tipo de reuniones es super común, pero para nosotros fue muy especial poder llevar a cabo esta actividad siendo por primera vez los anfitriones.
How was your day, friends 😊 I would like to share with you a very nice experience that my husband and I had, 1 year and 7 months after premiering our house, it was our first barbecue 🥳 I know this is not a really important event because doing this kind of meetings is super common, but for us it was very special to be able to carry out this activity being for the first time the hosts.

Como la mayoría de las veces, este plan surgió de manera espontánea, pues una de mis amigas expresó sus ganas de que nos reuniéramos a pasar el rato y tal vez hacer una merienda en mi casa, entonces comenzó la planeación sin fin que trae consigo cada encuentro entre nosotras. Para que tengan un mejor contexto, ellas trabajan y tienen niños, por lo que hacer que nuestras agendas coincidan resulta más complicado de lo que cualquiera creería, casi siempre proponemos planes que terminan en el olvido por no llegar a un acuerdo 😅
Así que, el primer día de planeación solo dimos ideas de lo que podíamos hacer, además de proponer el horario para llevar a cabo lo planificado, pero terminó el día y no concretamos nada, hecho que me hizo pensar que sería otro plan que no cumpliríamos. |
As most of the times, this plan came up spontaneously, as one of my friends expressed her desire to get together to hang out and maybe have a snack at my house, then began the endless planning that comes with every meeting between us. To give you a better context, they work and have children, so making our agendas match is more complicated than anyone would believe, we almost always propose plans that end up in oblivion for not reaching an agreement 😅 |
| Al día siguiente me levanté temprano para limpiar muy bien la casa, aunque les confieso que en el fondo no creí que ellos vinieran al final, pero como dicen por ahí: "es mejor prevenir que lamentar", y así aprovechaba de hacer la limpieza de la semana(que normalmente hago el día lunes)por adelantado, en resumen, no tenía nada que perder. Mientras limpiaba, seguimos la planeación por el grupo de WhatsApp que creamos y seguíamos sin tener las cosas claras, hasta que otra amiga agregó a su esposo al grupo y él puso las cosas en orden, mandó la cantidad de ingredientes que necesitábamos para hacer la parrilla y también para preparar una marquesa de chocolate. Quién diría que al final un hombre organizaría todo el asunto 😁 |
The next day I got up early to clean the house very well, although I confess that deep down I did not believe that they would come in the end, but as they say: "it is better to be safe than sorry", and so I took the opportunity to do the cleaning of the week (which I usually do on Monday) in advance, in short, I had nothing to lose. While cleaning, we continued the planning through the WhatsApp group we created and we still didn't have things clear, until another friend added her husband to the group and he put things in order, sent the amount of ingredients we needed to make the grill and also to prepare a chocolate marquise. Who knew that in the end a man would organize the whole thing 😁. |
El esposo de mi amiga también se ofreció a comprar todo y nosotros le pasábamos nuestra parte de la compra, otra amiga se encargó de traer la parrillera, y yo compré el pollo por mi casa para picarlo y adobarlo por adelantado. A eso de las 4:00pm llegaron los invitados y de una vez dividimos las tareas para hacer la ensalada, la marquesa y picar la carne, así que fue un trabajo en equipo. Siento que preparamos todo en tiempo récord y creo que se debió a que mientras lo hacíamos nos íbamos poniendo al día, hablar siempre será una buena distracción jeje...
My friend's husband also offered to buy everything and we passed him our part of the purchase, another friend was in charge of bringing the grill, and I bought the chicken for my house to chop and marinate it in advance. At about 4:00pm the guests arrived and we divided the tasks to make the salad, the marquise and chop the meat, so it was a team effort. I feel that we prepared everything in record time and I think it was because while we were doing it we were catching up, talking is always a good distraction hehe....

Al probar la parrilla, la ensalada y la marquesa nos dimos cuenta de lo mucho que valió la pena hacer esto nosotros mismos, pues estaba delicioso y gastamos $40 en total entre 8 personas, precio que me parece bien comparándolo con lo que hubiéramos gastado yendo a un restaurant. Cada quién se comió una porción super generosa de carne y pollo, además compramos varios refrescos y de la marquesa cada quien se comió 2 pedazos y se llevaron 2 más para llevar, ¿Qué más se puede pedir?
Ese día mi esposo y yo nos preguntamos por qué no lo habíamos hecho antes, pero sinceramente no obtuvimos una respuesta concreta, simplemente no lo habíamos contemplado y siempre elegíamos preparar hamburguesas, perros calientes o pizza. Después de esta reunión, quedamos con ganas de hacer parrillas más a menudo, siempre y cuando el bolsillo nos lo permita, claro, porque es una excelente forma de compartir con familia y amigos. |
When we tasted the grill, the salad and the marquesa we realized how much it was worth doing this ourselves, as it was delicious and we spent $40 in total between 8 people, a price that seems good compared to what we would have spent going to a restaurant. We each ate a super generous portion of meat and chicken, we also bought several soft drinks and from the marquesa we each ate 2 pieces and took 2 more to take away, what more could you ask for? |
