Ulog 100: Branching Out & Getting Ready For The Kick Off To A New Venture

What a GREAT way to celebrate my 100th Ulog post on steemit!

I'm sharing with you all the beginning of a new business venture that has been in the works for quite some time now; and when I say quite some time, I mean months and months- if not a year.

This is an opportunity I am NOT taking lightly either. I have done my research.

From following some great YouTube channels who offer advice, share their wisdom of successes and failures to learning all over again the value of SEO for search engines, I am on the brink of getting this up and rolling.

Yes, I am opening an Etsy store and kick starting my old eBay account.

Stats from eBay:

  • 601 sales to date (I have a purple star)
  • 100% feedback rating
  • Joined January 2006

While I am new to Etsy (have only purchased couple of items from there over the last few years), I am a quick study and know I can get some action there. Plus as I said, I am getting myself re-acquainted with SEO marketing to help encourage more sales and more visibility.

Did you know Etsy has a special website to help with SEO? THEY sure do! See more about that here.

I've spent endless hours getting all my ducks in a row, but still have some crucial details to work out before I can officially go live and start selling on Etsy.

Things like:

  • Getting all my business cards finalized
  • Getting my logo created to my OCD vision
  • A little more packaging (some more bubble wrap and some extra shipping boxes)
  • Continuing to grow my inventory
  • Making more salves to have on hand
  • Sharing some more patterns and ideas with my mom (who is the Crochet Queen of the Midwest)

I'm planning on starting to list some items next week; if all goes as planned.

Sorry, I had to use YouTube as DTube wasn't allowing my video to upload properly today.

Etsy will mainly be salves, seeds that I have harvested from my own gardens and other homemade or handmade items with a few surprises tossed in for good measure.

eBay will be for selling some unusual items that I have picked up along the way. The video shows items I picked up on one trip to the Goodwill; but I have so many other items I've been stock piling over the last year.
