The battle was only 17 mana and you couldn't use the legendary monsters.
In these short mana battles the options are quite limited.
My opponent and I picked almost the same cards, but I got a combination that allowed me an advantage card.
He opted for Air Elemental and I for Peacebringer, both do the same damage in their attack, but Air elemental consumes more mana. With that small difference of mana in my favor I was able to use Cocatrice, a card that can be very useful placed first.
My plan worked as I expected. Cocatrice dodged several attacks that gave me an advantage in damaging his Silvershield paladin.
After a few raund his Paladin was completely weakened and mine was not even in action.
In the end my Peacebringer managed to prevail and I won the battle.
A small difference in the cards can be decisive. If I hadn't put Cocatrice in the front row, I'd probably have been a loser.
