Saw 2. The best movie in the franchise.

Okay I'll admit that I haven't seen the last two Saw movies. At some point they got kind of redundant for me.

I didn't think Saw was a masterpiece. I thought it was overly claustrophobic and that the main characters were pretty unlikable. Unlikable characters is a huge flaw in the movie in which we are supposed to care about the fate of the characters.

The other movies just didn't do anything for me. I felt that I didn't really care about the Jigsaw character or about the fate of pretty much anyone else in the universe.

What I really wanted to see was people trying to escape from a situation, and none of the movies in the Saw franchise did that as well as the second one.

The second one did it very well though.

So without further ado let's take a look at Saw 2.

The main detective in the movie Saw was played by Danny Glover. You might remember him from the Lethal Weapon movies. Has he done any other movies aside from those? Well.....yes he has.

However, most of his movies have been few and far between. Also if you have seen him in a movie chances are you simply don't remember him. He really doesn't seem to stand out much.

He did not stand out much in the movie Saw either.

The main detective in Saw 2 is played by Donnie Wahlberg. I find him to be very pleasant as a detective type character.

He might not be as well known as his brother Mark Wahlberg but he is a great actor and he never fails to be believable in a role like this one.

The movie Saw was about a couple of guys that you didn't really care for trapped in a room trying to figure their way out.

They couldn't do much because they were chained up, and there was a lot of psychological stuff going on, and it was all pretty terrible because I didn't like the main characters and I really just wanted them to go away.

Saw 2 gets rid of that problem by allowing a group of people to essentially run free in a house full of traps. Now that makes for a much better horror movie.

Each of these characters has a secret but one character has a secret that is bigger than the others. They all have to figure out how to get out of the house together. Of course that's not going to happen.

This movie is quite gory, but I don't remember any nudity in it....take that however you want.

I did however find it incredibly suspenseful. I also thought it developed the characters well, and made me feel as though there was some real action going on. I could really get into it.

I have a friend that absolutely adores the Saw movies. She is always talking about Saw and how much she loves every single one of the movies.

I disagree. They're not all awesome. I don't even care for the first one much. However, the second one truly is awesome.

If you're looking for a horror movie and you come across Saw 2, I definitely think you should check it out. It's much better than the first one, and if you've got a bad opinion of the Saw movies because of the first one you should discard it and go ahead and watch the second one.

I think it's the best movie in the Saw franchise.

So why not check it out?
