As I was reading some posts on Trending (or was it the Hot section? and yeah I read some posts there once in a while), I stumbled upon one briefly talking about how Steem is not anymore just a hobby but is now a part of our daily lives.
And yeah the author of that post might be up to something as I just noticed that even here on Steem I am also somewhat paying some monthly subscription services in order to survive on this platform. Without services like this, I highly doubt I would have stayed this long on this platform as it is somewhat discouraging to see posts you have put in some effort ending up with upvotes in the lines of $0's ($0.001-$0.99).
I know I always say that I am not in here for the money (well partially XD) but there is a big difference when your post is earning in the lines of $0's compared to in the lines of $1'S. It's like even though your post is earning $0.99 it personally feels like you are still not noticed by the Steem community (unloved and unnoticed) compared to when your post finally reaches $1.0. XD Lol Not sure if I'm the only one who feels that way though
Anyway, I am one of those who believe that in order to survive on this platform, one must first have a stable and constant support rather than relying on the once in a blue moon orca/whale upvote or even curie, ocd or other curation services.
That's why I made it a goal to accumulate enough SP and decent quality posts enough to be accepted by some of the well known communities that supports content creators like me and so far I was fortunate to be a part of some of those communities. All so I could push my content to above $1 payout and feel noticed and loved by the community! XD
Like most (if not all) Steem communities, they require you a somewhat participation fee which is either through a monthly liquid Steem/SBD payment or through delegation.
