As the monsoon washes over us cleansing and watering the land my mind is drawn back to months when there never seemed to be a drop of rain and the roads were dusty instead of muddy!
Flicking through my photos today I found these that I took one sunset on the beach in Cambodia. Although I like the rainy season my heart feels the separation from the endless hot days.
However I don't worry as I know the heat and dry will return in a few months. It's lovely to smell the earth breathing with the rain.
What is fascinating is that many of the rivers change during this period with their salt content from the ocean diminishing with the flood of fresh water from the rain catchment areas. I will do a post on this absorbing changing in the ecosystem. 😉
