It really amazes me how far one can get when approaching life with a different mindset. I promised myself not to talk or remember how depressed I've been feeling these couple of months but this time feels a little bit different because it actually makes me feel good to talk about it, it has been kind of relieving actually!
It is no secret to everyone all the hassles Venezuelans have been dealing with, right now we're dealing with constant blackouts and internet outages among other things that might drain the milkshake out of anoyone's life. A couple of days ago all of this seem unbearable yet somehow I feel quite stronger.
One of the reasons I was more depressed is that I use to get away from people. Instead of talking to friends or family I prefer to hide in my little box and spare all my time mostly thinking about negative stuff; That's pretty sick I know, still, I feel like everyone here is having enough to deal with so I tend to think it's unfair to fill people with more negative things besides the one they are dealing with. Another not so good thing is getting away from my internet friends; Believe it or not, a good chat with friends from all over the world might be therapeutic as well yet not even that.
A week or so ago I decided to stop being cruel with myself and to give me a chance with life. I got a job which it surely has made a possitive impact. Getting a new job has allowed me to meet new people and make new friends, it also has made me go out of my little box. Beholding the same space, the same things all the time doesn't help if you're depressed, so, if you are, get out of your house, take a walk, get a new job, or look for something to do, it really helps. I'll be talking and sharing with you brothers about my proggress. It really feels good when one see things differently despite all the things we have to endure on a daily basis but I guess that's what living is!
