When I travel for extended periods of time, I've noticed that when I come back home, I often feel disoriented. Traveling is a lot of fun, but it can also be draining. The constant on the move mentality and lack of routine can make me feel tired. Of course, like all things in life, friends make it better!
It took me over 24 hours to trek back from Canada to California, and my energy levels were pretty low. But the day was just about to get so much better! I was greeted at the bus station by @acromott! It was so nice to see him. I was in for a surprise, as my friends had planned a surprise get together to go see the movie "Ready Player One." One of my favorite books! After being home for less than 20 minutes, I was on my way to see Joel, Wasana, @muffintuesday, and @threebagsfull. EKK! What a delight.
Sometimes, when I get home from traveling, I can become a hermit and just hide out in my room. It is such a nice feeling when your friends seek you out and help you get integrated again.
I documented my first day home, so I could share it with you all! It was so nice to be back in the Sunshine State, I really did miss wearing a tank top! hahaha! I love you Canada, but the cold weather I could totally do without.
How have your friends helped you out in your life? Feel free to leave a comment below.
