I am trying different ways to recover these video files but haven't succeeded yet.
I never made this mistake before but today was different. I had to delete some older videos on my sd card to make room before recording. So when i recorded the new video, the camera named the file the same name as the previously deleted files. When I transferred my data to the harddrive, I forgot that these clips would require me to scroll up and find them amongst my older files but I only copied the files displayed at the bottom of the directory. I assumed everything was done and formatted my sd card to have a clean slate again.
Silly me.
