Whales generally do not want to produce content. They invest as a means to earn a return through passive income. Now, they can earn more money by consuming/voting for content and I guess there behaviour can be changed due to the addition of free downvotes. If an investor just puts people on an autovoter for crap content, it will get downvoted and they will make less of a return.
These downvotes can make investors pay more attention to content and still make a good return. Im all for testing this out to see how it goes.
Having a system that favours curators more takes less emphasis on “get paid to post”.
