"The material is enroute," the voice came through the communicator plainly.
The hours of waiting were grueling. Every noise led to a jolt of anticipation. Paranoia took over, and the idea of getting in trouble with the law became the main topic of thought.
"It's been delivered."
The moment arrived.
This was an idea I had for something much larger, which I'm hoping to expand and potentially turn into its own short story.
It has actually been a few weeks since writing any fictional posts, but I'm hoping to get something written soon. I don't think it'll be a multi-part series or anything, I'd like it to be one standalone piece, as I find that those can be a bit better for readers, and for me too. I hate running out of steam for an idea as I continue it on.
