№ 8 - Justice

This representation, literally dissects the traditional iconography; my version of Justice is structured only to preserve the key elements.
The crown: emblematically it represents the sun, the light of truth.
The Sword: symbolically, the sword links the power of the Sky with the power of the Earth.
I have adopted it as vertebral column and tongue, Iustitia‘s verdict will be spoken with power invested in her from the Sky and from the Earth.
The Blindfold a the Scale: both symbol of impartiality.
I had no need to blindfold her, because she is filtering reality through the very tool that leads to the notion of reflective equilibrium.

The Lover, hooded and bearded, older and wiser, still seeking his path. The staff of discipline means that his journey is not jet to an end.
His solitary life, his lack of concern for materiel things is welfare to his deep conviction.
The lighted lantern will assist his inner power and strength.
