ANIMALS YOU CAN HAVE IN THE DORM

For a good number of students, one of the saddest things asides saying goodbye to one’s parents and friends is having to let go of their pets for a long time, till they return home for holidays. For some, this experience might be painful, owing to the fact that they have lived with them for months, some years, and not seeing them again for a couple of months might be unimaginable.

3.Dwarf Hamster:

This animal needs proper care and maintenance. They are best monitored in a cage, due to the fact that it takes a lot to keep them in one place. Dwarf hamsters are not like the regular hamsters, and they are very portable to hold which makes them cute to handle. For this pet, you would need to clean their cages in order to ensure that they remain healthy.

Leopard Geckos are very cute pets, and you would love to have them around in your dorm. If you have an 8 or 9-gallon tank in your room, you can keep your leopard gecko inside. These pets allow their tails to drop once they detect any sign of danger. These pets are nocturnal, as they also need a heat lamp. During times when you do not remember to feed them, their tail acts as a storage for food.

These pets are referred to as pocket pets, and the moment they get used to you and bond with you, you can take them anywhere without having to go around with their cage. The weight of Sugar Gliders is around 6 ounces. They are also clean animals, as they can clean up themselves. They are also nocturnal animals. 6.Hedgehog:

This animal is very common among college students in the dorms. They might not be the best pets, however, they are the type which can take around and show off to friends. In some states, however, Hedgehogs are considered harmful and dangerous, so you have to be aware of the rules of the state where your college is situated. These animals emit little smell, and it does not cost much to take care of them. Hence, they are great pets to keep in the dorm.

7.Cats:

Cats are animals which are also very popular among college students. Not everyone loves cats, but those who love them would realize that they are good companions to keep. What you just need to ensure is, if your roommate loves them too. To maintain the healthy state of your cats, ensure you have a litter box, and you are good to go. Cats are very clean animals, so you would not have issues keeping them clean. Cats do not feed much, so it would not even cost much to take care of them.
