Leonard had a good talent around him but he pretty much won the championship when it needed to be Took took over when needed LeBron could never do that he either needed Kyrie Irving Dwyane Wade and Chris bosh and now he needs Anthony Davis in LA.
I think this laker team has championship potential. The problem is the laker system of "win now" attitude is not sustainable. I still look for San Antonio Spurs as blue print for success. You cannot argue with Popovich playoff run since 1997. The Lakers will have problems once lebron leaves or his skills gets affected by age. The Heat and Cavs experienced those problems after LeBron switched teams.

The Lakers after one more superstar rnt thee, imagine they got PG or Kawhi or is tha not possible, am not a 100% on how the nba transfers works tbh , seem complicated if anyone can explain I’d be grateful.The Suns are a major market and have cap space an hour flight from LA if they add a veteran PG, they'll be alot better. The Mavericks will be better, the Kings won 40 games last season they will be better, the Pelicans with the trade and Zion will be better. now the Lakers will be better with AD and Lebron. I think that at least 2 maybe 3 teams that were in the 5-8 seed season run a high risk of not making the playoffs next year.
