In this post I write about my experience of hivefest and the hive meetups. And what turned out for me. My first experience was a virtual hive fest. And that was funny, but it is not nearly the same as actually meeting people. The following year was Hivefest Amsterdam. And I decided to go. I was super nervous and in my head I had 100 excuses not to go. But I persevered and arrived at the Volkshotel in Amsterdam.
There I met @iliyan90 And the guys from CBRS @artakush @minigunner. And many more people too many to nameβ And soon I was having a good time. The next day it was in the center where we had to go. in the eye building. And several lectures were held there. Lunch was also well prepared. And everything was well taken care of. I also spoke to @Detlev there and asked what was needed for a bot that could hand out joints. He put me in touch with @felixxx. And he, bot coded the weed.dispenser. It must have an update at some point. But that is being worked on.
Later that evening we went on a boat tour. Which was super cool and I could really relax there. Later we ate and drank in a sports cafe. Where we played with balls of steel. haha
The next day it was in a little church in the middle of the city. And there I also had my first cold root beet soup. And that was quite an experience. But also if you have gone out together once. Everything feels a lot more familiar. That evening we played poker. Unfortunately I didn't win. But it was a nice experience.
But that was more than a year ago. In the meantime we also had meet ups in The Hague and in Breda. And they were a bit smaller, but my experience is that you interact with people more. In a smaller group. We looked at the cities and always had something to eat. Last weekend's meetup also had real lectures and had a live stream.
Hive connects people. And I am proud and grateful to be part of it. It expands my little world. I wrote this post because I would also like to have a chance to win the prize from @tibfox and @steevc

But I also hope to have inspired people to visit a hive meet up. It's really fun to get to know the people behind the names. Friends I'm going to finish my post. I enjoyed going back to where it really started for me.
Thanks for reading my post and have a nice day
