Also, Actifit wieder in Deutsch. Heute musste ich dem Hund die Haare schneiden und auch ein Bad geben.
Dann ging’s einkaufen. Die Hühner wollten essen. Und ich auch.
Ich hatte von einem Deutschen ein Rezept mit Sauerkraut gesehen das lecker schien. Meistens esse ich das ja roh, aber habe eine Ausnahme gemacht.
Dann Spaziergang mit Hund und was man so zu Hause macht. Wie rumrennen dass man auf die nächste Tausand kommt. 🤪
The Day
Today, I needed some laughter in my life after a very frustrating evening with city commissioners and prejudice and judgemental fellow residents mouthing off why they don't want (insert anything you can think off - including a daycare) in their neighborhood.
What better way to invite laughter then wearing a Laugher Yoga Shirt. Btw. I am a Laughter Yoga Teacher. If you ever need a laugh - let's hang out and get the laughter on :)
Wow - just looked at my clock and it is 11:11 again - just like yesterday. It must be the magical actifit time LOL
One of my main activities today was to give this little good ball a haircut.
She can't sit still - always has the wiggle on. We have been fighting fleas like there is no tomorrow. One drawback of living in a warm climate. All kinds of critters thrive and won't die in the winter. Last year, the whole city was so bad that all the flea medicine one can buy over the counter didn't work. We had to go to the vet to get the extra strength pills.
Once upon a time, I didn't want to use the stuff you put on your dog and it goes into their bloodstream and kills fleas who drink some of the precious blood. But I have given in. A long time ago. I still vacuum all the time, put diatomaceous earth everywhere, flea-comb her every day... hence, the haircut. So I can get to those little bloodsuckers.
That and bathing her took a lot of time.
Then, I had some sit on your butt activities - like making graphics to promote my latest podcast episode. It is an interview with Teri Page, the Homestead Honey, who just wrote a book on Family Homesteading. So many fun activities to do with kids!! Love it!!
After cleaning the bathroom and such, I was off to Home Depot to get something to fix the ghostly doors. Quite a sound when you open and close them at night. If we were planning on having a hunted house for Halloween, they would be perfect. For everyday living - not so much.
If you know Home Depot, you know that you get some walking in! Next, buying chicken food was on the list. I like some extra points for schlepping 50 lb bags, please.
Taking the little Miss BB for a walk rounded out the exercise part of the day. We walked a little longer than planned. When I turned the corner to walk along the fairly busy street, I saw a guy pissing against a car and somehow, I didn't feel like walking by him. So, we turned around.
