While being at the hospital since past 1 week, I am coming across so many things to learn on.
There is a patient that I came across, who has not been in his senses since the time I have started seeing him. On checking with the nurse I came to understand that he met with an accident and since then he has not been in senses. He is not in coma completely but kind of in between. For the first two days I did not observe much on him, but gradually I realised that he did not have anyone coming over to meet him. He is a young man, probably in his 30s.
The nurse who takes care of him mentioned that his family has abondoned him and they have left him at the hospital. Whenever he gets little senses he keeps groaning, probably it's the pain. I feel very very sad for him and keep giving him some Reiki whenever possible.
Such a young life, and in so much terrible state. I understand that he has been in hospital now for more then 2 months. The hospital wants to send him home, but there's no one to take him. I do not know why his family has abandoned him, but whatever it is in such times even an enemy will not hold a grudge and come to assistance. Now we can say his karma or whatever but it is painful to see people in such condition.
On the other hand my husband, who is all the time pampered and taken care of keeps throwing tantrums time and again for small things. Not that it effects me, I ignore.....hahaha. But to think of it when you have everything you desire and want, do you value it? Day and night I am with him, he does appreciate it, but a little bit here and there and the annoyance creeps in.
It is not only about him but a lot of us do that, not value what we have and take it so much for granted, we stop appreciating it and being grateful for it. We start believing that it is our right to get it, only we realise untill we don't have it anymore.
Relationships are maximum taken for granted. Somewhere we start believing that it is must to be there for the other person, in the bargain not realizing that the opposite person also has a limit towards commitment. Only when we lose it we realise that we had to value it.
At this time all I can do is, pray for this person to get back in good sense and become healthy again to take forward his life. I am sure this experience will completely transform him to lead to new and a better path of life.
