The Flower Clock

The Flower clock is one of the Geneva's main attractions. It's an outdoor clock made with flowers and plants. As the seasons change the designs also change and the seasonal flowers and plants are used in decoration of the clock. Each design is unique. This place is by Lake Geneva itself, on the western side of the English Garden. More than 6000 different types of flowers and plants are used in making this clock.

As we all know that Switzerland is famous for its watches. The Swiss watches are the some of the best brands in the world, be it Rolex, Breitling and so many others, all are made here. This particular Flower clock was created in 1955 as a symbol of the city's watchmakers, and also as a dedication to nature. It is now the second largest flower clock in the world with the first one being in Iran in the city of Tehran.

It's an open site to visit, there is no entry fee to see it. The place is always flocked with visitors, everyone wants to get a picture with the Flower clock. Next to the Flower Clock is the Ferris Wheel, which gives a complete view of the City when you are at the top. There are many places to get the view of the city but this ride is enjoyable.

This mini train runs along the lake. It has a one way and return journey both. A comfortable way of watching the whole stretch. What I did was I walked one way as I wanted to spend more time looking around and then return, I took the train
