It's Friday, the first Friday in August. On this 4th of the month, not much has happened in my life, apart from the fact that I am sick with the flu because of the rain that fell on me yesterday, and the fact that the electrical services and internet signal have not been working very stable. Anyway, it's not a completely comfortable day, but I'm fairly well, so I'm still grateful for this day that is ending. I think my #life has been simple today, and that's a good thing.

Es viernes, el primer viernes de agosto. Este día 4 del mes, ha pasado poca cosa en mi vida, fuera de que tengo malestar de gripe por la lluvia que me cayó encima ayer, y el hecho de que los servicios eléctricos y de señal de internet no han estado trabajando muy estables. En fin, que no es un día del todo cómodo, pero estoy medianamente bien, así que igual estoy agradecido con este día que está terminando. Creo que mi #vida ha sido simple hoy, y eso es algo bueno.

Por cierto, eso de que es una fecha variable, es porque se celebra cada año el primer viernes del mes de agosto, sin estar atada a un día del mes en particular, es por eso que este año cae en este 4 de agosto. La selección de la fecha no ha sido constante desde su creación, cuando en 2007 cuatro amigos en Santa Ana (California, Estados Unidos) se propusieron celebrar su bebida favorita y escogieron el día viernes 5 de agosto, por su proximidad con el fin de semana. Yo me sorprendí un poco de que la celebración no naciera en Alemania, que tiene una gran industria cervecera, larga tradición y reconocidos maestros cerveceros; o que hubiera nacido en Egipto, que cuenta con las recetas de elaboración de cervezas más viejas que se producen aún en la actualidad. De hecho, se tienen registros de que la antigua civilización egipcia fabricaba cerveza hace ya varios milenios hacia el pasado.
