This Saturday, August 12, has passed without major problematic incidents in my daily #life, so that's good. The weather has been sunny for most of the day, without much heat, we have had brief rains, but isolated and without much weight in general. It seems to be a beautiful day and I like to start the weekend like this. Being the way things are, I don't have much more to share in this daily post about my personal life, so I'm going to go directly to comment on the #History ephemeris for today, which is the topic that gives you the title to this post. Today is 'International Youth Day'.

Este sábado, 12 de agosto, ha transcurrido sin mayores incidentes problemáticos en mi #vida diaria, así que eso es bueno. El clima ha sido en la mayor parte del día soleados, sin mucho calor, hemos tenido breves lluvias, pero aisladas y sin mayor peso en general. Parece que es un bello día y me gusta que comience así el fin de semana. The celebration was established as a way to highlight the need for accompaniment and support for the youth population, in terms of solving problems that are common and typical of an age of general change in their lives, as well as articulated with not so common problems nor shared, which have to do with the national and regional realities of each human group in the districts and places on earth.
While humans are the same humans everywhere, our cultures, histories and societies can vary greatly, so while each young person must deal with the uncertainty of changing their own body, both psychologically, hormonal, physiological and physical; Added to this personal burden are the problems of changing social roles that these young people face.

La celebración se estableció como una manera de resaltar la necesidad de acompañamiento y apoyo a la población juvenil, en cuanto a la solución de problemas que son comunes y propios de una edad de cambio generalizados en sus vidas, como también articulados con problemas no tan comunes ni compartidos, que tienen que ver son las realidades nacionales y regionales de cada grupo humano en los distritos lugares de la tierra.

So, being #young is beautiful, but not easy. It is an ephemeral time, loaded with its own problems, which seem very serious to us while we suffer from them, but as the years go by, we can notice how small these problems were and how they lose weight when we put them at a distance. It makes me remember the old fragment of the poem by Rubén Darío, the 'prince of Castilian letters', in his famous and memorable poem that repeatedly states:

Así que, ser #joven es hermoso, pero no sencillo. Es un tiempo efímero, cargado de sus propios problemas, que nos parecen muy graves mientras los padecemos, pero que, al pasar los años, podemos notar lo pequeño que eran esos problemas y como pierden peso al ponerlos a la distancia. Me hace recordar el viejo fragmento del poema de Rubén Darío, el ‘príncipe de las letras castellanas’, en su famoso y memorable poema que reiteradamente señala:

That's right, being #young is a matter of short years. Así es, ser joven es cosa de cortos años. Pero eso no quita peso a su importancia dentro de la demografía de las poblaciones humanas actuales, de hecho, se señala que en esta tercera década de nuestro siglo XXI, la población humana joven ha llegado a niveles históricos, tenemos más jóvenes vivos en el mundo de los que habíamos tenido registrados para los siglos anteriores.
Esto supone un reto, pues el futuro que queremos legar a esas personas jóvenes depende de los caminos que les preparemos nosotros, y de las elecciones que esas personas jóvenes hagan a partir de nuestros preparativos.
