1. I should not take historical places for granted just because it is on my own land.
Before, I often tell to myself that the last thing I would visit were the places here in the Philippines especially in my city since it will always be here and I can always come back into it but I was wrong. Maybe, I missed half of my life witnessing how the fort was lovely in the dust. The lighting was different and the air was cold. And I promise myself, I would not commit the same mistakes from now on in my own land.
2. You can still be beautiful, after going through a lot
The fort has been through a lot with the hands of the Spanish, Americans, Japanese and I hope lastly the Filipinos. It has been the front guard of the city by invaders of that time yet until now it has bloomed into a good place where people can feel nostalgia in a good way and a feeling of simplicity and appreciation of how the place was the way it is.
3. Local Government did a great job in reserving the historical site
The fort may be one of the least historical sites that I have noticed that was well taken care of by the government. And I did notice new things which were maybe renovated yet the old structure still prevails. I learned that the government especially if living in the Philippines can still manage to do an amazing job amidst all the happenings! Kudos to the Cebu City Government and Employees!!
Please apologize if my face was all over the post and not the sceneries! Hehehe! I hope you had enjoyed reading and Thank you for your time!!!
