1. Rent a Van/ Car
I personally recommend having your own car or have a van rented on your day trip to Bohol since it will cover most of the tourist spots Bohol has to offer to the world. Our experience before was when we rode a boat from Cebu going to Tubigon Port in Bohol since it is the nearest to Cebu and cheapest in fare. There are vans for hire waiting at the port and with good fair of negotiations, you are good to go! Also if you are you are in Tubigon, your first stop would be the Sagbayan Peak which is a park with overlooking view of Bohol! There is also a butterfly garden which are very nice to see! You can meet the famous tarshiers at the Peak for an entrance of 50 pesos!
2. Visit Panglao
I don't know but most people who have been to Bohol that I knew never had the chance to go to Panglao which was sad. Though, it was a haven of disco bars and night life but the beauty of the white sand is something one shouldn't miss. I personally encountered a lot of foreigner than Filipino in the island which was the first time for me at that time. It may be far from the city proper, but Panglao is worth the visit. You can stay there overnight since there are a lot of pension house and hotels there. Perfect place to indulge and relax after a day full of discovery in Bohol!
3. Be Spontaneous
Bohol has a lot to offer. From beach to hills to rivers and all over again! In Bohol, you have to adjust and be flexible in every activity or spots you'll go because it differs from one place to another. Just like in Carmen where you have to take 214 steps to get a nice view of Chocolate Hills or you have to be brave to cross the hanging bridge in Sevilla like it doesn't cost you anything!
4. Bring Snacks and Foods!
If you'll want to save time in stop-overs and also saving money, bringing your own food is a good idea! You can eat it while travelling or have a stop at the some place where you can feel the air around you in Bohol.
5. Be ready for the weather!
Since Philippines is a tropical country, it is expected that it is hot! But bear in mind that weather changes. Our experience brought us a lot of dismay last 2016 when it was very hot on the morning and when the afternoon came, the rain poured. So if you'll continue to tour amidst the weather an umbrella or cap will do to save a lots of trouble!
6. ENJOY!!!
It is always an enjoyable trip and adventure every time I go to Bohol because it differs and there is always something, Bohol has to offer!
Thank you for reading!!! I hope I have helped you in one way or another! May you enjoy your day! God bless
