This contest for the @steemitbloggers A.K.A #Powerhousecreatives has a contest theme of Eye Spy With My Little Eye... This week it is Something Dark, Big & Loud.
We have had a lot of dark and loud with the numerous thunderstorms rolling into our area. We even were part of the system that produced tornadoes in a provincial park an hours drive from us.
Devastating as you can see below -
Fortunately the tornado never hit us but it happened while we were having lunch with a torrential rainstorms, some hail and strong winds!
You know there is strong winds when the trees around our place in the forest are being bent over even right in our yard which is very sheltered!
We heard about the warnings for the storm after the fact but it's made me more aware when those dark looming clouds come over to tune in to the radio station or weather station and to have my transistor radio available so we can better prepare if it is tornadoes or large hail that is hitting us!
Here is one of the storms just rolling in with some weird cloud formations over the treetops!
Needless to say these occurred when we were on our walk with the dog! It made for a bit of a power walk to get back home before those Big, Dark Clouds rolled in bringing those Loud thunderstorms!
