Fly and Ant
Ant walked in abandoned garden,
Gathered materials for construction,
But suddenly he noticed Fly,
Who immediately turned to him:
"Oh, Ant, tell me please,
What is your secret?
You are so hardworking,
And I'm like an idle guest in life!"

"Oh, dear Fly,
My secret is that I work,
I do my duty and have no regrets.
Every day I try to be better."
"But what should I do, Ant?
How can I find my true destiny?"
"Just remember, Fly, it's not about pleasure,
The most important thing is to be honest."
Fly finally understood
That it’s not troubles, but soul and heart
Make our lives truly meaningful.
Ant opened her eyes to the truth.
Now Fly has abandoned her former deeds,
She plows in the garden from morning to night,
Doesn't shower or cut her hair,
Eats only porridge and canned food.
Doctors say she will never recover.
The original text was written by me in Russian. I haven't studied English systematically so the translation may not be ideal. The main work was done by Google Translate, I just corrected obvious absurdities, where I noticed them and where I did not confuse them with brilliant insights.
