ULOG 105 - Went to Mr Stone Pot to @travelgirl's recommendation

Few days ago, I stumbled upon another restaurant review by @travelgirl and once again, the place and food looks very interesting. The place is called Mr Stone Pot and is located in Lemon Grove shopping center in Chatswood, Sydney. My friend and I are always looking for some new place to have lunch and we have never tried any of the restaurants in the Lemon Grove food court before and we were sold by @travelgirl's review.

Before jumping on the company's shuttle that took us to Chatswood with a couple of friends, I sent a DM to @travelgirl saying I was heading there. I wasn't expecting her to respond that quickly so put my phone back in my pocket. It's only as I got there that I realised she was there too and had replied to my message. As I walked into the food court I spotted her at the table of another restaurant so came to say hi 👋. Should have taken a photo together, oh well, there is always another time.

Mr Stone Pot

We were lucky to have found a free table as we arrived because it was fully packed and no wonder why. The menu was very interesting and many of the dishes are pretty original, at least to me.

I decided today to have no rice and went for a Beijing Style Duck Breast as cold starter and a Stir Fried Sliced Potato as main. My friends ordered a Fish Rice Congee, Pork Intestines with Basil Leaves and a Smoked Fish.

My Beijing style duck breast came out first and looked yummy.

To our surprise and to the ones of the surrounding tables, the smoked fish came out and was smoking!

They put some dry ice in the bottom bowl to make that smokey effect, the smoke was pouring onto the table, it was magical.

The congee and the Stir Fried Sliced Potatoes came out last and we started the feast.

The food tasted as amazingly as it looked like. The size are very decent and we had way more food than needed but had no problem finishing everything 😂

After this wonderful lunch, thanks @travelgirl, we headed to the Mandarin Center for a Luo Han Guo drink and then headed back full and happy to the office.

In the evening, I came back home and headed to the Wu Xing Dao class to burn all those calories 🤣
