It has been a long week. Too much work, I needed to relax a little bit so today my wife made us some breakfast in the backyard sitting. It was a beautiful day, a tiny bit windy and cool but it was still great.
The bees were busy as usual and I noticed they are paying more attention to the Elderflowers today. The little flowers were full of pollens and the bees have collected quite a bit.
Even though the Elderflowers had no smell to us, which is a deception for me and my wife because we really miss the very nice smell of UK's Elderflowers, I still left the tree because the bees love it. To @riverflows' recommendation, I will try to get some native Eldertree and see how it goes.
The carrot flowers are now opened! They look good. I'm looking forward to collecting the seeds to plant some more.
For lunch, we headed to The Entrance to have a nice steak sandwich and have a relaxing time on the sand.
As we walked along the beach, we noticed some beautiful flowers growing on the edge.
A Pelargonium sp.
An Angular Pigface (Carpobrotus glaucescens)
A carpet of Scented Fan Flowers (Scaevola calendulacea)
We played for a while on the beach and relaxed on the sand listening to the sound of the waves. At the end, we had a walk on the rocks.
San always likes to make rivers on the sand and takes bucket of water to fill his rivers and get the water to flow. But obviously it does not go far as the water was absorbed by the sand. But as we went on the rocks, the erosion from rain water made some little pools that emptied from one to another going down to the sea. As he saw that he immediately took his bucket and started to fill the top pool and the water gradually flowed down creating a little waterfall.
We then called it a day and headed back to the car. On the way back home, San wanted to stop by Bunnings because he has saved $41 to buy a camping chair that has a folding table and cooler bag on each side. He was excited to be able to buy his own chair and wanted to use it straight away, so we went home and had dinner in the backyard again 😄.
